Witnessing Documents Online – A New Age

In response to the COVID-19 crisis the NSW Government has amended the Law in NSW to allow for the electronic witnessing of documents such as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Statutory Declarations and Affidavits.

Under the new rules a witness may watch a person sign a document over a video link in real time and then execute a scanned copy of identical counterpart. For more information visit https://www.nsw.gov.au/news/covid-19-video-tech-for-witnessing-legal-documents.

These changes will make it easier for you to stay at home, and still be able to executing important legal documents without delay.
